Hear ye, hear ye! Tis the eve of the Medieval Faire! We will congregate in the Great Hall (Winterpock's cafeteria) from 12:30 to 2:30 tomorrow!
- The feast will serve as everyone's lunch. If your child has special dietary or food allergy considerations, please feel free to have them pack a lunch because we will not be purchasing cafeteria lunches. Otherwise, there will be plenty of food!
- If you are bringing food or helping to set up, please arrive at 12:15. Otherwise, we will see you at 12:30. The feast will take place first (along with some feast time entertainment), then students will participate in their learning station activities.
- Mrs. Cooper said that students may NOT wear their costume to school in the morning. They will need to bring their costume to school in a bag and change before the faire.
- Please label all food containers and serving utensils with your name.
- If you are donating food to the feast, please include a label on your food with the name of the dish along with a brief description and/or ingredient list.
- If your food contains nuts of any kind, please include a clearly visible sign labeled, "Allergy warning - contains nuts."
- We do not have refrigerator space to store cold food, or the ability to heat lots of food. If you are unable to attend the faire, warm food may be dropped off in the morning in a crock pot. Cold food may be brought to school in a small cooler with ice if necessary. Please contact Mrs. Parkison at https://mail.ccpsnet.net/owa/redir.aspx?C=83502d4459e6457092301298e88856d1&URL=mailto%3asarahparkison%40verizon.net if this is a problem. She will be able to help out with food storage and heating if you have concerns about getting food to school at the correct temperature to avoid food poisoning.
- A few students are interested in playing music at their station activity, but this is NOT a requirement. We have CD players available if you need one, just please let Mrs. Scarpinato know ahead of time. Otherwise, an adult should bring any electronic devices to school and take them home. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged, etc. electronics.
- Parents and students are welcome to wear costumes. If you have an old high school or college graduation robe, they can be used for a variety of costumes! For example, add a cross necklace for a monk or priest. Material could be tucked into the collar and be used as a hood. For a nun, wear a white head band and cover your head with black material, attached to your hair with bobby pins. A "plague doctor" outfit could be created.
